AI avatar video and chat products
For a generative-AI start-up we took over its AI-presenter video add-on and shipped four products on serverless AWS: a ChatGPT plugin, subscription billing with analytics, personalised avatar video mail from a spreadsheet, and a live talking-avatar assistant grounded in slide decks and embeddable on websites.
Problem
After its lead engineer moved on, the start-up needed a team that could quickly master its serverless stack and ship new AI products, billing and analytics for demos and launches.
Solution
The team fixed and extended the slides add-on (video aspect ratio, thumbnails, default presenters, voice and locale settings, audio recording, abort control), then delivered a ChatGPT plugin with Lambda-served manifests, retention cleanup and hallucination safeguards; Stripe subscription billing with minute quotas and upgrade banners; analytics across three tools plus daily email reports; a spreadsheet-driven personalised video-mail product with validation, cost calculation and preview webhooks; and a live avatar chat that extracts slide text and speaker notes, answers with an LLM under a token budget, accepts speech input and streams the avatar over WebRTC, embedded on websites through a themable widget with signed instance auth.
