Luxury experiences booking marketplace

Problem

The founders had prototyped most of the front end with an AI app builder but had no backend, payments, infrastructure or way for providers, partners and admins to operate the marketplace.

Solution

A Node.js/PostgreSQL backend with role-based access for guests, providers, partners and admins; JWT and Google sign-in; a timezone-aware availability and booking engine with overlap checks and automatic release of unpaid slots; Stripe Connect with providers as merchant of record, configurable commission splits, refunds and payouts delayed until after each event; referral attribution, logo-branded partner sites on wildcard subdomains and an iFrame widget; an admin dashboard with approvals, moderation, analytics and CSV export; all deployed on Google Cloud with Terraform and GitHub Actions.
